The present invention is a tray 10 to be supported on a person's lap or on a tabletop. The tray comprises a rectangular main body defining an upper surface arranged for supporting at least one vessel containing food or drink. A bib 12 is extendible from a stored position in or on the main body to a use position where the bib 12 extends upwardly from one side of the main body so as to cover at least part of the person's torso. The bib may be extended from a recess within the tray body by sliding using a pair of channel-shaped guide members 17 and guide rollers 19. Four upstanding supports 22 topped by friction pads 24 may support an item of crockery. |
