<p>The present invention relates to a method for preparing of linear alpha-olefins by oligomerizing of ethylene in the presence of an organic solvent and a homogenous catalyst comprising of a zirconium component and an organoaluminum component, characterized in that the method is carried out in more than one reactor being operated in parallel, wherein for each reactor the method conditions and parameters are independently adjustable.</p>
