A method for recognizing baby signs and mutters of an infant or tot in a mobile communication terminal is provided to photograph the infant to analyze a behavior pattern and recognize the mutter as a language, thereby leading parents and the infant to make a smooth conversation with each other to have the feeling of closeness and grasping the conversation or state of the infant in a remote place by recognizing the video or still image of the sign or mutter of the infant transmitted from the other mobile communication terminal. A method for recognizing baby signs and mutters of an infant or tot in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: matching a video signal corresponding to the change of a body, which the infant or tot shows as declaration of intention, to a corresponding meaning to set a matched value as a reference value in order to recognize the baby sign and mutter(207); and comparing the video signal with the set reference value and recognizing the compared signal to display a language which expresses the declaration of intention when the video signal for the sign and mutter of the baby is inputted(209,211).
