Wall-mounting an aquarium

A mounting device (1) for mounting a wall-mounted aquarium (6) including a recess (7/7A) in its back for completely accommodating the mounting device (1) while lying against a wall (4), which has an elongate body (1A) having opposite ends (1B) and a size smaller than 'hat of the recess (7/7A) such that it can be completely accommodated in the recess (7/7A). There are at least two holes (2) through the ends (1B) of the body (1A) respectively, through which the body (1A) is attachable onto the wall (4) by means of respective expansion screws (3). Also included is a hook (5) projecting forwardly from each end (1B) of the body (1A) for engaging respective apertures (8) in the recess (7) to thereby mount the aquarium (6) on the wall (4), with the body (1A) being completely accommodated in the recess (7/7A).
