<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for magnet belt driving type vehicle with a simple structure, which has large braking force despite of being a comparatively small type and light weight. SOLUTION: This magnet belt driving type vehicle 1 is constituted by travelling wheels 3 rolling on the travelling surface R1 of a railway R, and a pair of right and left magnet belts 4 rotating while being attracted onto magnetic attraction surfaces R2 at both sides of the railway R may be supported onto a frame 2. The travelling wheel 3 is pivoted to the frame 2 by a cross shaft 5. The shaft of pulleys 6, 7 of the front and rear, with which the magnet belt 4 is engaged, is supported vertically against the frame 2. On the opposite side to the attracting side of the magnet belt 4, a braking steel plate 12 is supported by a guide rod 14 so as to be brought into contact with and separated from the magnet belt 4 freely. The braking steel plate 12, which is a solenoid 16, is retained normally at a position upon which attracting force of the magnet belt 4 has no influence. If required, the solenoid 16 releases the braking steel plate 12 to be attracted by the magnet belt 4, thus it is possible to apply braking to it.</p> |
