PORTABLE DEVICE FOR USER`S BASAL BODY TEMPERATURE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE DEVICE

A portable terminal for measuring a BBT(Basal Body Temperature) and a method thereof are provided to convert a temperature, which a user measures without limitation of a place and time considering the current state and measuring time, into the BBT, so that the user can conveniently measure the own BBT anytime anywhere. A portable terminal for measuring a BBT comprises the following steps of: transmitting a predetermined pulse within the ear of a user to separately measure a distance between at least one inner point of the ear(811); separately measuring the temperature of the at least one inner points of the ear by using infrared rays(812); recognizing the first temperature corresponding to the first distance which satisfies a predetermined condition among the at least one distance as the tympanic membrane temperature of the user(814); and converting the tympanic membrane temperature into the BBT of the user(815).
