A method, apparatus and articles of manufacture used to build heterogeneous inter-operable logic devices which communicate with each other wirelessly or otherwise. Any combination of those interchangeable inter-operable logic devices can be used to build variously complex re-configurable logic systems. The reconfiguration process happens both through the usual means of software and hardware reprogramming of the logic comprised within one or more inter-operable logic devices - as with currently available computers and reconfigurable logic. Also by the means of substitution of one or more inter-operable logic devices, the number of inter-operable logic devices, within a system, is not fixed. This way, both the amount of maximum aggregate bandwidth and processing-power are only related to the number of inter-operable logic devices included within the re-configurable logic system, which in turn has data paths not fixed at design stage thus letting the inter-communication bandwidth to be allocated where needed at run-time. The inter-operable logic devices can be placed in a container allowing a plurality of spatial configurations.
