<p>A motor and a washing machine having the same are provided to reduce a noise and a vibration of the motor by increasing intensity of a rotor frame by reinforcing the silent-pole core. A motor includes a stator(250), a rotor(220), a rotor frame(221), a permanent magnet(240), and a silent-pole core(230). The rotor frame(221) is a frame of the rotor(220). The permanent magnet(240) is installed on the rotor frame(221). An N-pole and an S-pole of the permanent magnet(240) are alternatively magnetized. The silent-pole unit(232) is installed between the poles of the permanent magnet(240), and is made of a weak magnetic substance.</p> |
