<p>The polyester monolithic skylight involves a frame installed on a sloping roof and entails an under-construction in which the frame is ultimately positioned. The skylight is produced by a hand lay-up technique whereby glass fiber reinforced polyester is used and the visible outer cover (1) entirely made in one piece. The form piece angles are all rounded with a radius of approximately 2 mm. The seamless complete skylight in glass fiber-reinforced polyester thus comprises a frame front, outer side edges, drainage provision a the upper edge and drainage grooves at the side edges. To obtain a sandwich construction, an inner coer (2) in glass fiber-reinforced polyester is fixed to the skylight, after which the hollow spaces provided are filled with hard insulating foam, e.g. two-component polyurethane foam.</p> |
