<p>The timber stem turning device when resting on a saw unit uses a pivotable arm acting as a lever, which with extension extends past the arm rotary point located below the timber stem. In the extension is a pivotably located rotary arm which extends upwards towards the stem and has a grip component in its side turned towards the side of the stem on the saw unit. Between the arms is an elastic component effective when the lever pivots around the rotary point in causing the rotary arm to engage with the stem exterior. It is also effective in maintaining the locating pressure of the rotary arm against the stem during ongoing pivoting of the lever around the rotary point and for lifting the rotary arm during engagement with the stem.</p> |
