A locking structure of an automobile arm rest is provided to offer convenience and safety in use by keeping a cover closed while a console box is open and preventing articles kept in an auxiliary containing space of an arm rest from pouring out and being damaged. The locking structure of an automobile arm rest comprises: a console box(10) provided with a containing box(11) to keep small-sized articles inward; an arm rest(20) coupled to the upper part of the console box to open and close the containing box and provided with an auxiliary containing space to keep articles which are not in the containing box inward; a cover(22) coupled to the upper part of the arm rest to open and close the auxiliary containing space; a locking unit(30) installed to the front of the arm rest to control the opening and closing of the cover and the arm rest; a housing(31) attached to the front of the arm rest and provided with a hinge part; a lower operating button(32) installed to the housing elastically by an elastic body and provided with a hook shaped fitting part; an intermittent member provided with a fitting projection to fix and limit the fitting part and fixed to the upper part of the console box; an upper operating button(34) installed to the housing elastically by an elastic body and provided with a hanger part to control the movement of the cover; a low sensor member installed to the front of the fitting part to ascend and descend elastically; and an upper sensor member coupled to the hinge part to make one end fixed to the low sensor member and to guide a stopper part installed on another end to be projected to the inside of the housing with the upper operating button when the low sensor member descends to make interference when pressing the upper operating button. |
