INSTALLATION STRUCTURE FOR BOW RUDDER OF VESSEL

An installation structure for a bow rudder of a ship is provided to install the bow rudder on a spherical bow structure to relatively reduce a size and a thickness of a stern rudder, thereby reducing resistance of the rudder. An installation structure for a bow rudder of a ship includes a support shaft(21), and a bow rudder(20). The support shaft is connected to a ship head steering gear over a spherical head structure(11) of the ship in a tilted manner. The bow rudder has an oval cross-section operated in relation with a stern rudder of the ship. The bow rudder is rotated with rotation of the support shaft connected to the ship head steering gear. The installation structure is installed at a head part(10) to make it possible to reduce resistance of the ship. In addition, a draft line length of the ship can be increased by the bow rudder to remarkably reduce wave resistance.
