The stamp has a stamp base (10) comprising a lip (11) protruding from an edge of the base, and a housing (14) mounted over the base. An ink pad (12) and a character unit are mounted in the base. The character unit comprises a rotor, where two ribs are formed on front and rear edges of the rotor. Transversal stoppers (351) maintain the ribs on the rotor when the rotor is pressed against a bottom cover attached in the base. A shaft is coaxially mounted below projections of the rotor. The rotor is overturned and the ribs are received in the transversal stoppers when the housing is pressed down.
