A wiper apparatus is provided to prevent damage of paint by eliminating interference of a wiper blade with an engine hood pane and improve maintenance property. A wiper apparatus includes a base bracket(12), a guide hole(13), a slider(14), a rack gear, a pinion, a link assembly moving motor(17), and a switch(18). A second link(6) and a drive motor(11) are engaged with the base bracket and the base bracket is installed at a central portion of a link assembly(1). The guide hole is formed long in the base bracket so as to face the upper side of a front glass window of a vehicle. The slider is installed so as to be slidably moved along the guide of the guide hole with the slider fixed to a first link. The rack gear is disposed in the lengthwise direction of the guide hole. The pinion is enmeshed with the rack gear to move the rack gear. The motor rotates the pinion. And, the switch supplies a power source to the motor. |
