A thin film transistor substrate and a flat panel display apparatus having the same are provided to prevent particles from penetrating in a display region through a protection layer by dividing the protection layer into a first region protection layer and a periphery passivation layer. A thin film transistor substrate includes a substrate(110), a first region formed on the substrate and having plural thin film transistors, a wiring portion(700) spaced apart from the first region, and a conductive layer(420) interposed between the first region and the wiring portion. The thin film transistor has a semiconductor layer(130), a gate insulation film(140) covering the semiconductor layer, a gate electrode(150) disposed on the gate insulation film, an interlayer dielectric(160) covering the gate electrode, and a source/drain electrode(170) disposed on the interlayer dielectric. |
