A step mold for vehicles is provided to promote the safety of passengers who get on and off through stairs by letting passengers recognize the location and height of stairs exactly by emitting and diffusing light using optical fiber, LEDs and a lens unit, and to improve the inside image of vehicles and to make low power consumption by producing various colors using LEDs and optical fiber. The step mold(100) for vehicles comprises: a step mold main body(10) formed by aluminum extrusion to have the corresponding length to the width of stairs and provided with a mounting groove(12) retreated forward; a luminous unit(20) installed to the mounting groove of the step mold main body and composed of optical fiber(22) covered with protective coatings, connectors(24) inserted to both ends of the optical fiber, LEDs(light-emitting diode,26) located closely to both ends of the optical fiber and inserted to the connector through a wire ring(10a) of the mounting groove to function as a light source to the optical fiber, a support holder(28) provided with a retreated groove(28a) to support and fix the optical fiber and the LEDs installed to the connector integrally, and a wiring(29) connected to a terminal of each LED; and a lens unit(30) installed to the front of the optical fiber to diffuse irradiated light from the optical fiber and provided with an insertion groove to couple with projections(11) formed on the top and bottom of the mounting groove of the step mold main body.
