LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

An LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to use no planarization layer forming process and a column spacer forming process, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process of an upper substrate. An LCD comprises a first substrate(3), a second substrate(2), and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second substrate includes a spacer(92) for maintaining the distance with the first substrate at a predetermined interval. The spacer blocks the light leaking from the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules(4) aligned in a uniform direction.
