<p>The invention relates to a cavity antenna which is excited with one or more dipoles in a single piece. According to the invention, the cavity-exciting element is equipped with a metal plate which is connected to earth and which can be used to adjust the input impedance of the antenna and the reflections in the radome by adjusting the distance in relation to the rear wall of the cavity, said earth connection preventing the antenna from charging electrostatically. The cavity and metal plate assembly enables a greater bandwidth, as well as facilitating control of the contrapolar polarisation level adjustment and of the decoupling between dipoles by modifying the shape of the metal plate. The antennas can be immediately grouped into arrays without modifying the size or shape of the cavities or the dipoles which excite same.</p> |
