A control method and a control device of a washing machine are provided to inform a user that sensed eccentricity delays the whole cleaning time by installing a display unit at a control panel of the washing machine. A control method of a washing machine comprises the steps for detecting eccentricity according to the laundry amount(S3); disentangling the laundry according to the detected eccentricity(S5); and operating a display unit to show that the whole cleaning work is delayed by the detected eccentricity(S6). The display unit blinks while the eccentricity is detected. A control device of the washing machine comprises the display unit for showing operation of the washing machine; an operating unit for ordering the operation; and an LED(Light Emitting Diode) formed at the display unit to show that the detected eccentricity delays the whole cleaning time.
