#CMT# #/CMT# The case has upper and lower shells (100, 300) and a housing for receiving an insert (210) to assemble the case with a key (200). The housing is entirely located in one of the shells. The lower shell has a wall equipped with an opening (313) for permitting the insert to access the housing. An external cylindrical part is integrated to the lower shell and comprises groove and pins or ribs for allowing pivoting of the shells with respect to each other around a pivoting axis (600) after the shells are assembled. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a key assembly. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a key assembly (claimed) for protecting an insert of a key that is utilized for starting a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The groove and pins/ribs permit the pivoting of the shells with respect to each other around the pivoting axis so as to provide the access to the internal walls of the case, thus permitting to repair the deterioration of the housing and recovering the key without any damage.
