Provided is a pyrene-based electron transport compound, which has high electron transport efficiency, shows good film-forming characteristics, causes no crystallization, and does not adversely affect the lifespan of a light emitting diode. The electron transport compound is represented by the following formula. In the above formula, A is substituted or non-substituted and is selected from the group consisting of pyridinyl, quinolinyl, isoquinolinyl, quinoxalinyl, bipyridinyl, terpyridinyl and phenanthrolinyl; and each of B and C is substituted or non-substituted and is selected from the group consisting of phenyl, biphenyl, naphthyl, fluorenyl, terphenyl, phenanthrolinyl, phenanthryl and anthryl.
