A sliding door opening and closing apparatus for a vehicle is provided to operate a fixing device with a wire connected with a handle to easily open a sliding door by pulling the handle in the same direction as an opening and closing direction of the sliding door. A sliding door opening and closing apparatus for a vehicle comprises a sliding door(20) opened and closed in a sliding way, and installed on a side surface of the vehicle; a handle(30) exposed out of an outside surface of the sliding door; a supporting piece(31) projected from the center inside the handle, and fitted to a hinge shaft(21); a rotary roller(33) installed at one side in the handle by the medium of a fixing piece(32); and a supporting bar(34) mounted at an inside end of the handle to fix an end of a wire(40) wound around the rotary roller.
