An effect sound generator is provided to output various kinds of effect sounds or cheering words once a user shakes a tambourine or presses a microphone in a karaoke place, thus the user is able to cheerfully sing a song. A transmitter(110) wirelessly transmits pressing signals of consecutive keys and function keys installed on a frame of a tambourine(100). A receiver(220) receives the transmitted wireless signals. An output device(210) recognizes the received signals, and outputs effect sounds or cheering words selected with the function keys of the tambourine(100) by selecting an output time as the consecutive keys are pressed. A sound converter(260) converts the outputted signals of the output device(210) into audible effect sounds or cheering words, and outputs the converted sounds or words to a speaker(270).
