A method and an apparatus for controlling a source voltage of an OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) are provided to improve light emitting efficiency of the OLED by applying a constant current on the OLED to maintain constant brightness. An apparatus for controlling a source voltage of an OLED includes a constant current source(202), a voltage detecting feedback unit(204), and a source voltage generator(206). The constant current source supplies a constant current to an LED, which is connected to a data line during a predetermined time. The voltage detecting feedback unit measures a voltage, which is formed on a driving TFT(Thin Film Transistor), while the constant current is applied on the OLED from the constant current source. The source voltage generator generates a source voltage based on the voltage, which is measured at the voltage detecting feedback unit, and supplies the source voltage to the driving TFT.
