A horizontal reciprocation type cutting tip having more improved cutting performance and life performance by arranging abrasive particles on a horizontal reciprocation type cutting tool in a specific manner, thereby further improving cutting efficiency of the abrasive particles, and a cutting tool with the cutting tip are provided. In a horizontal reciprocation type cutting tip which comprises a plurality of abrasives(2) and is horizontally reciprocated to cut a workpiece, the horizontal reciprocation type cutting tip is characterized in that: the abrasives are disposed in such a manner that at least some of the abrasives form an abrasive particle group(20); the abrasive particle group consists of two or more of abrasives; and the abrasives composing the particle group are disposed in such a way that at least some of the abrasives are superposed on one another in a cutting direction. The abrasive particle group is contained in the entire abrasives in a ratio of 30% or more. A horizontal reciprocation type cutting tool has a plurality of the horizontal reciprocation type cutting tips which comprise a plurality of abrasives and are horizontally reciprocated to cut a workpiece.
