A flat display apparatus is provided to determine deformation of a mask frame assembly by checking a position of a slit using a mark on an outside of a display portion. A flat display apparatus includes a substrate, a display portion(122) disposed on the substrate, at least one mark(124) disposed on an outside of the display portion. The mark is formed by plural stripes, and is made of a conductive material. The flat display apparatus includes a thin film transistor having a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a gate electrode. The mark is located on the same layer with one of the source electrode, the drain electrode, and the gate electrode.
