<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device with a high output and a long life. <P>SOLUTION: In the first invention, a light emitting device comprises at least a light emitting element (10), a wavelength conversion member (40) for converting the wavelength of rays of light from the light emitting element, a bendable light guide member (20) for guiding the rays of light from the light emitting element to the wavelength conversion member, and a heat conduction member (50) that is thermally connected to the wavelength conversion member.
