<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of giving instructions for starting and stopping control of conveyance of recording paper from an image forming device main body to a paper feeding device connected with the image forming device main body by using communication and stopping control of conveyance of the recording paper at a desired position even when there is time lag due to communication. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device has a paper feeding means having the paper feeding device 20 capable of being additionally provided to feed a recording paper from the paper feeding device 20, a recording paper position detection means 501 for detecting a position of the recording paper fed from the paper feeding device 20, and a recording paper determining means 100 for determining the type of recording paper fed from the paper feeding device 20 to perform the operation for determining the type of recording paper by the recording paper determining means 100 while the recording paper fed from the paper feeding device 20 stops at a predetermined position. The paper feeding device 20 has a recording paper conveyance means for deciding the timing for stopping conveyance of the recording paper at the predetermined position based on the timing for detecting a tip of recording paper during conveyance by the recording paper position detection means 501. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
