<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a converter facility, which can normally perform dephosphorization treatment and decarburizing treatment. <P>SOLUTION: In a process of charging molten pig iron and scrap into a dephosphorization converter, dephosphorizing them, then charging the dephosphorized molten pig iron and scrap into a decarburization converter, and decarburizing them, the method for operating the converter facility comprises the steps of: determining a charging scrap amount necessary in the dephosphorization treatment so that the total heat of the molten pig iron before starting dephosphorization can be in a target range after the dephosphorization treatment will be finished; charging the scrap of the determined charging scrap amount in the dephosphorization treatment; determining the charging scrap amount in the decarburizing treatment so that the total heat of the molten pig iron before starting the decarburization treatment, which has been adjusted to have the total heat within the target range when the scrap has been charged, can be the target value after the decarburization treatment will be finished; and charging the scrap of the determined charging scrap amount in the decarburizing treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
