PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of allowing a player to sufficiently enjoy a displayed performance image even when the player operates each stop switch at short intervals, raising the interest of the player on a game, and allowing the player to continue to have the interest. SOLUTION: The slot machine for performing the game by rotating and stopping a plurality of reels with a plurality of symbols displayed thereon includes: a reel operating means for originating a reel operation signal including a reel stop signal, based on the operation of the player; a reel control means for performing the control of the reels, including the stop control of the reels which is performed when the reel stop signal is received; and an image display means for controlling the display of the performance image. The image display means performs control to start the display of the new performance image when the performance image, which is displayed in receiving the reel stop signal originated from the reel operating means, is displayed for not less than a prescribed time, and continues the display of the displayed performance image when the performance image is not displayed for not less than the prescribed time.
