PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize power consumption, receiving efficiency and transmitting efficiency in selection of antenna of a radio communication apparatus including a plurality of antennas. SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus 10 includes a plurality of antennas 11, 12 under the condition that the number of antennas used for transmission and reception of radio waves is determined previously. The apparatus 10 acquires the information indicating transmission and reception qualities of the relevant antenna when the antennas 11, 12 are used. On the basis of the information acquired, a receiving antenna used for reception in accordance with the number of preset antennas is selected from a plurality of antennas 11, 12. Moreover, on the basis of the information indicating the selected antenna and the information acquired, a transmitting antenna used for transmission in accordance with the number of preset antennas is selected from a plurality of antennas 11, 12.
