PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that achieves a barrier-free state by automatically displaying an exclusive accessibility screen as the initial screen or by displaying an exclusive password input screen corresponding to the accessibility when a user is a person with reduced vision or a person with defective color vision. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an exclusive display mode corresponding to a person with reduced vision or a person with defective color vision other than a normal screen to a display device of an operating part and executes personal authentication. The image processor is also provided with a user management storage means for storing data for the personal authentication and a display mode selection for each user, an authentication means for acquiring the display mode selection corresponding to the user by specifying the user with a prescribed personal authentication method after referring to the user management storage means, and a display means that is started up with the same display mode as the display mode selected with the display mode selection.
