PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device for a vehicle putting the step in and out without destabilizing a scaffold in getting on and off by an occupant or deteriorating design property. SOLUTION: The step device for the vehicle is disposed under a vehicle floor 3 in the vehicle, and is equipped with a guide member 20 having a lower wall part 20a and an upper wall part 20b opposed to the direction of the vehicle height, and a movable step 4 which is freely put in and out of a getting on/off area 3a of the vehicle to the outside of the vehicle, and supported between the lower wall part 20a and the upper wall part 20b.
