PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the refilling performance, and to enable mounting of a high-density wiring cable. SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting head comprises a pressure chamber 52 that communicates with a nozzle 51 for ejecting a liquid, a diaphragm 56 that constitutes a wall surface of the pressure chamber, a common liquid chamber 55 arranged at the opposite side to the pressure chamber side with respect to the diaphragm to supply the liquid to the pressure chamber, and a piezoelectric element 58 with both an internal electrode 74 at the inner perimeter side of a cylindrical piezoelectric body 70 and an external electrode 72 at the outer perimeter side. The piezoelectric element 58 has one end joined to the diaphragm and is disposed to penetrate the interior of the common liquid chamber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
