<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip which improves sound shield effect by providing a sound shield wall part in a hollow seal part, and can prevent deterioration of the closing condition of a door. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 10 is equipped with a mounting base part 1 mounted to a door opening edge or a door outer peripheral edge of a vehicle body, and a hollow seal part 2 integrally molded to the mounting base part 1, elastically connected to the door 6 or the body panel in closing the door, and seals the inside and outside of the cabin. The weather strip 10 is provided with a partition wall part 11 approximately perpendicular to the pressing direction from the door 6 or the body panel in closing the door 6, and divides the hollow seal part 2 into two, and the sound shield wall part 12 extending from the partition wall part 11 toward the direction of the door 6 or the body panel. When the hollow seal part 2 is deformed by a pressing force from the door 6 or the body panel in closing the door 6, and the tip end of the sound shield wall part 12 abuts on the inner wall surface 2a of the hollow seal part 2, the partition wall part 11 is deflected to absorb the pressing force from the door 6 or the body panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
