<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system in which a plurality of point light sources are mounted in high density and small-size and thinness are promoted, and temperature rises of individual light sources are effectively suppressed preventing deterioration of its lifetime and luminous efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In a side light type backlight unit 5 arranged at the rear side of a liquid crystal display panel 3, a light guide plate 51 and a pair of PCBs 53a, 53b having a plurality of LEDs 52 respectively conducted and installed on the surface are housed and installed, and a heat radiation cover 58 made of a sheet metal material such as aluminum superior in heat conduction is mounted. The heat radiation cover 58 superimposes and holds in one lot respectively the corresponding PCB 53a and a case side plate 572a and the PCB 53b and the case side plate 572c by a side plate 582a and an inner side plate 582a, and the side plate 582c and the inner side plate 582f forming a U-shape cross-section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
