PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the vertical deflection apparatus that can sufficiently correct an upper-lower pin-cushion distortion without being affected by a crosstalk from a horizontal deflection coil to a vertical deflection coil. SOLUTION: A parabola modulation circuit 12 which performs amplitude modulation of a horizontal parabola signal HP by a vertical modulation signal VM by multiplying the horizontal parabola signal HP and the vertical modulation signal VM, modulates a phase of the horizontal parabola signal HP based on the vertical modulation signal VM, and outputs the modulated horizontal parabola signal HP1 to a correction current output amplifier 7. When an NS pin-cushion distortion on a screen of a CRT tube serves right-left asymmetric, a horizontal parabola signal generation circuit 32 is set so as to generate a right-left asymmetric horizontal parabola signal HP. A gull-wing distortion can be corrected by combining a sine-wave to a parabola waveform in the horizontal parabola signal generation circuit 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
