PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caisson jacking method according to which frictional resistance is reduced during jacking and settling of a caisson skeleton, and a used friction reducing metallic sheet can be recovered, to thereby contribute to effective use of component members, prevention of adverse effect on the circumferential environment, and improved efficiency. SOLUTION: According to the method, the long friction reducing metallic sheets 21 which each have a friction reducing material layer 30 applied or stuck at least to an internal surface thereof, are reeled like rolls, and the reeled friction reducing metallic sheets 21 are arranged along a peripheral surface of the caisson skeleton 1 by being connected to each other at a plurality of locations. Then the friction reducing metallic sheets 21 are progressively unreeled according to jacking and settling of the caisson skeleton 1, and after completion of the jacking and settling of the caisson skeleton 1, the friction reducing metallic sheet 21 are drawn upward.
