A lamp with an active or passive spherical light-radiating body (24) comprises a standing base socket (10) from which many holding elements (13-17) extend. Flexible wires (18-22) are attached to their free ends and these hold or suspend the sphere. Preferably the light comprises at least one LED and irradiates the sphere and preferably the wires are conductive and electrically contact the light body.
