The stand for cordless phones, PDA's or GPS systems has swiveling sections at the top and a suction pad (13) at the base. This is operated by a vertical lever (130), around which a spring (14) is mounted. A locking lever (15) allows the lever to be locked in position, so that the pad holds the stand in position.
