The suspended slide has two essentially parallel supporting cables (1,2) on which a passenger (4) can slide downwards suspended on a trolley (3). The trolley is connected to a braking cable (5) that runs through a cable brake (6) fixed to the system and that can be operated by an operator (7) of the system. An independent claim is also included for a cable brake, especially for an inventive arrangement.
