An additive of which activity is superior to the prior art is provided to improve the electrical conductivity of mineral oil distillates with low water content, especially low-aromatics mineral oil distillates, and additionally ensure safe handling of the oils even at low temperatures, wherein the additive should comprise neither halides nor sulfur compounds. A mineral oil distillate comprises 0.1 to 200 ppm of at least one alkylphenol-aldehyde resin and 0.1 to 200 ppm of at least one nitrogen-containing polymer, and has a water content of less than 150 ppm and a conductivity of 50 pS/m or more. The aldehyde used for the condensation of the alkylphenol-aldehyde resin has 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The alkyl group of the alkylphenol-aldehyde resin has 1 to 200 carbon atoms. The alkylphenol-aldehyde resin has a molecular weight of 400 to 20,000 g/mol. The alkylphenol-aldehyde resin has a repeating structural represented by a formula 1, wherein R^5 is C1-C200-alkyl, C2-C200-alkenyl, O-R^6 or O-C(O)-R^6, wherein R^6 is C1-C200-alkyl or C2-C200-alkenyl, and n is 2 to 100. The nitrogen-containing polymer is selected from (a) a comb polymer containing units derived from a monomer having a C4-C40-alkyl radical and at least one nitrogen-containing comonomer, (b) a copolymer of ethylene and an ethylenically unsaturated nitrogen-containing comonomer, and (c) a polymeric polyamine prepared by condensation of an aliphatic primary monoamine or N-alkyl alkylene diamine with epichlorohydrin or glycidol.
