摘要 A white LED using excitation of phosphor is provided to prevent a white LED from being deteriorated by heat and extend the lifetime of the white LED by preventing a phosphor from directly coming in contact with an LED. A circuit board(20) has an anode(21), a cathode(22) and an LED die. The LED die is either a blue LED die or an ultraviolet LED die. A reflection mirror(40) is aligned at a proper tilted angle in an emission path of specific light emitted from the LED die, made of one of a metal film reflecting mirror coated with a metallic material or a Bragg reflection surface made of a dielectric material. The circuit board and the reflection mirror are encapsulated in a cladding(30). The LED diode is driven to emit light of a specific color when an external voltage is applied to the anode and the cathode. A first phosphor(50) is coated on the incidence surface of the reflection mirror, constructed in a manner that generates white light when the first phosphor is excited by specific light. The light reflected by the reflection mirror is emitted from the white LED through an emission surface(32) of the cladding. The LED emits specific light to the reflection mirror in the emission path. The first phosphor coated on the incidence surface of the reflection mirror generates white light, excited by specific light. The white light is reflected by the reflection mirror and is emitted through the emission surface of the cladding.
