An ROF(Radio On Fiber) system having a photo transistor is provided to remarkably reduce the complexity of hardware by implementing RF frequency up-conversion in a BS(Base Station) through a single photo transistor. An ROF system having a photo transistor consists of a CO(Central Office)(100), an optical transmission part(200), and a BS(300). The CO(100) comprises an LO(Local Oscillation) signal generation part(110) generating optical LO signals and an IF signal generation part(130) generating optical IF signals. The optical transmission part(200) is composed of an optical fiber connecting the CO(100) with the BS(300). The BS(300) comprises a bias part(310), a photo transistor(330), a feedback part(350), and a resonance part(370). The bias part(310) supplies a bias for oscillation. The photo transistor(330) senses and detects an optical signal transferred to the optical fiber. The feedback part(350) forms a feedback structure for oscillation. The resonance part(370) extracts an oscillation frequency.
