COMA ABERRATION CORRECTING METHOD OF OPTICAL DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coma aberration correcting method for correcting coma aberration that occurs due to the displacement in the signal track direction of an objective lens incorporated in an optical pickup.

SOLUTION: A displacement distance in a track direction from the reference position of the objective lens 4 incorporated in the optical pickup 9 is calculated, and an aberration correction element 8 provided to correct coma aberration is controlled on the basis of the calculated distance so as to thereby correct coma aberration that occurs due to the displacement of the objective lens 4.
