<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide and image formation system and an image forming method capable of more quickly obtaining a required printing result. <P>SOLUTION: In an environment connecting a plurality of scanners, a slave scanner for reading out a document from one host scanner in parallel and a printer for printing out read image data are selected and picture quality information is acquired from the selected printer. The acquired picture quality information and a document reading instruction are transferred to the selected slave scanner, and the slave scanner performs document reading processing.
