摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce resin lenses corresponding to pixel pitches and display sizes different by models in a semitransmission or total transmission type liquid crystal display at low costs, to efficiently introduce light from a light source to aperture parts of the liquid crystal display and to increase aperture efficiency of the liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: A resin lens manufacturing method for increasing the aperture efficiency of the liquid crystal display is provided, wherein a visible light or UV curable or thermosetting transparent liquid resin composition is controllably ejected by using an ink jet device onto a polarizing plate or an optical sheet of a rear surface of the semitransmission or the total transmission type liquid crystal display, the resin lenses are formed by utilizing difference between surface energies of the ejected liquid resin composition and the polarizing plate or the optical sheet, the resin lenses are disposed in a zigzag shape or mutually triangle shape according to positions and sizes of the aperture parts of a reflection layer or a reflection plate of the liquid crystal display and light from the light source placed on the rear surface of the liquid crystal display is efficiently condensed on the aperture parts of the liquid crystal display via the resin lenses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
