<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator for renewing an existing concrete pipe, which prevents the intrusion of groundwater by enabling a working machine or a worker to go in/out for the execution of work for removing prestressing steel and joint steel, hardly capable of being crushed by a cutter head inside the existing concrete pipe, and a construction method for renewing the existing concrete pipe by using the excavator. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic excavator 1 for renewing the existing concrete pipe is characterized as follows: a ring-shaped cutter head 4, the central part of which is provided with an opening 5, and a bulk head 10 are arranged in the front section of the excavator body 3 with an inside diameter larger than an outside diameter of the existing concrete pipe 2 buried in the ground; and a pneumatic drum 14 for keeping the inside of the excavator body 3 and that of the existing concrete pipe 2 in a pneumatic state is connected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
