<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a heat island phenomenon by providing a pavement body equipped with good water retentivity through the use of the property of a carbon component. <P>SOLUTION: This pavement body 1 comprises a plurality of aggregates 11, and a first binder 12 for binding the plurality of aggregates 11 together; the first binder 12 is mainly composed of cement; and the aggregates are constituted by having a granular carbide bound by a second binder.
