PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a difference in length easily by opening or closing a long cover body smoothly. SOLUTION: In a luminaire 3, a cover body 6 for covering the lighting side of a luminaire body 5 is connected so that it can be opened or closed by a hinge connection 7 at one side edge side, and the other side edge side of the cover body 6 is engaged to a lock 8 at the side of the luminaire body 5 by a locking member 9 provided at the cover body 6 for locking in a closed state. The luminaire 3 has a locking cancellation member for canceling the locking. In the luminaire 3, the cover body 6 and the luminaire body 5 are connected by a hinge with fitting utilizing an open section 15a in a hole 15 of a shaft 14 that is provided at either the cover body 6 or the luminaire body 5 and is continuous in the longitudinal direction, and the hole 15 that is provided at the other and is continuous in the longitudinal direction. Then, the locking cancellation member can be moved by hinge connection with fitting utilizing an open section 22a in a hole 22 of a shaft 21 that is provided at either the base or the cover body and is continuous in the longitudinal direction and the hole 22 that is provided at the other and is continuous in the longitudinal direction to attain the purpose.
